I am looking for a good 1/4 air ratchet . I do tons of timing belts on mostly vw audi and the odd honda . so i am looking for a air ratchet that will fit those tight spots to zip off the timing cover bolts fast . c/p and aircat is not an option c/p new stuff i just cant even look at and aircat just feels cheap and not something i would buy

i have both an Ingersoll Rand 105-D2 and a Snap-On FAR2500. I really dont use the Snap-On since its a little louder than the IR and noise was my first consideration. My only real gripe with the IR is the directional lever is recessed a bit too far and pretty tight when new so if you're ham fisted you wont like that. The FAR2500 has the lever extended out to get a better grip. Snappy USA, composite body, $300.00. IR China, all metal (very solid), $85.00.

If your looking for cheap and well built, I got a HF earthquake professional(Taiwan) compared to their standard(China). It is real nice for about $40, comes with soft handle and boot, is rated 40 ft/lb I believe. Works perfect for the jobs your talking about.

I have an IR( not sure exact model ), holds up real well and well worth the money spent on it( $100 ). Haven't had any real problems with it.
