Good all around air hose?

I'm picking up my new 10gal 2hp California compressor from HD in a couple days. What is the best all around air hose to get for it? I will be using it for nailers, tire inflators and occasionally an impact wrench. I really like the idea of a 100' amflo polyurethane hose but don't think it would deliver enough for the wrench. Maybe get a smaller, heavier duty hose as well? Thoughts?

I also meant to ask: I am looking for a good air chuck for a weekend warrior but I want it to last a LONGGGG time and a blower tip as well. Any brands i should look at?

Buy that type of compressor from a pawn shop-craigs list etc. It's pretty much only good as a inflation-blower tool or mini spray work. Save the extra money for a larger compressor.1/4" air hoses at about 15 feet long each will be best.
I've got a 150 liter 220V 3 horse at the house and it's bare minimum for much of anything.I'll run a 1/2" drill or spray a fender .That's about it.

All that I can say is stay away from the cheap PVC hoses, spring for rubber. It coils up so much easier and is a little harder to kink. Goodyear is great, but realistically, almost any rubber hose is better than PVC.

I bought a Goodyear rubber hose from tractor supply. Made in USA and was quite inexpensive. It was yellow so needless to say it looks filthy now. I'm buying a black hose next time.

I've got a couple of black rubber Goodyear hoses in 25 and 50 ft lengths, a 50 ft PVC, and a 50 ft Flexilla. Like them all but the PVC - what a pain in the *** to keep in line - coils when you want it flat, tangles when you want to coil it, and so on

If you aren't getting a reel, I'd get two 50s over a single 100. Can always connect them when you need 100 ft but you don't want to be tripping over a bunch of extra hose when you only need 20-30 ft.

Milton makes a good comprehensive line of accessories at decent prices.

Here is the hose I use. I'm pretty positive this was under $18 on sale at TSC when I bought it. just look around for a sale or coupon.

3/8 is plenty big enough to run most everything until you start getting to the 3/4" impacts.. Then your compressor won't be big enough. You may have some issue with some of the harder hitting 1/2" ones.

I like the Parker Push-Lok. it remains flexible in cold weather, is oil resistant, and very easy to repair/splice. General red rubber hose gets stiff in cold weather, breaks down when covered in oil, etc. It will last for years.

I'll never use anything but a Flexzilla hose ever again. Hands down the best hose I've ever used. Never once gotten tangled on me and rolls up nicely. Very durable as well.

Thanks for all the info. I got hooked up with a 300 psi 50' 3/8" from a buddy for free so I'm going to use that for a while

One last question: what's the best blowgun? Is pistol grip or the other style preferred? I see the Campbell pistol grip has good reviews on amazon. I already added the Milton s506 to my cart and need a couple more bucks for free shipping

...HF used to carry premium Goodyear hose.

Love that stuff. I use and abuse it, and it's held up for a good ten years, including a LOT of outdoor use and almost constant sun exposure, as well. I tend to run hose all over the property and use an impact to drive lag bolts for outbuildings, so it's seen a hard life.

I have the same hose but got it off amazon. And, yes it shows dirt. No use getting black. The dirt will still be there. Yellow is more visible and less likely to trip over.

As for couplings. Accept the fact they wear out. So don't waste a lot of money buying top dollar. I just buy mine from HD and call it done. I've used the HF versions. They are 'ok'

I will put in another vote for Flexilla...
love the bright neon yellow/ green hose, yeah it shows dirt & grime, but does not change anything !!

Everyone says go Milton for the connectors. I am still using my Cheap Blow Nozzle that came with my kit and no issues to date.
