Those instructions are for non-shunted sockets used with single-end powered LED bypass lamps only. Your fixtures use shunted sockets thus you will need to use the double end power feature of your lamps.

See pg.2 of this PDF (link) for double-end shunted socket wiring diagram.

I tried to find a video on youtube that was worthy, but after watching pieces of 10 of them they were all lacking in one way or another.

Or you can do what I did and swap the shunted sockets out for non-shunted ones and use single-end power tubes. The tubes I used don't have double-end capability.

1. Turn off the power. Flipping the light switch to the “off” position does not necessarily end the flow of electricity. You need to find the breaker box and determine the breaker switch for the power in that area. Turn the breaker switch off. This way no small children, overly helpful neighbors, or established enemies accidentally turn on the power while you are rerouting the wires.

^^ First, if it's an "established enemy," I doubt he would flip the light switch "accidentally." Second, what's to stop these nefarious individuals from flipping the breaker back on? :bounce:

Which is why I bought drop in's because all that was a huge PITA for 112 tombstones.

Fair enough. I only have 16 tombstones, and I only swapped eight of them so far. One of my ballasts hasn't crapped out yet so I haven't bypassed it.
