Good Bang For The Buck Air Compressor Regulator Options?

Just ordered a Puma TE-5040V Air Compressor (5HP/40 gallon/Two stage/Single phase). https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/Puma-TE-5040V-Air-Compressor/p13941.html

The compressor does not come with a regulator. Looking for recommendations for a good bang for the buck unit. Don't need to spend a fortune but I don't want a cheap piece of junk either. Would also consider a combo filter/regulator unit.

When the shop was built, I installed 3/4" copper for air lines with 3 drops in the main shop area. The compressor will be installed in a storage room.

My air uses are general in nature and this compressor will more than handle anything I currently need from an air compressor.

Questions:

1) Recommendations for a good bang for the buck regulator or filter/regulator combo?

2) Are there any advantages to the T-Handle style regulator as opposed to those with the plastic knobs?

3) Any advantage to having multiple regulators, i.e. a main one at the compressor and smaller ones at each drop?

Appreciate the help.

Parker & Wilkerson make a very nice regulators & filters. I like having filters and regulators separate.

Knobs vs T-handle.....never had an issue with either one

Just want to say I have these on "Classifieds"..

https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364312

Is it OK I said this here?

I didn't see a rule against it.

Anyway, I have used one of these long time along with the "matching" regulater.

And I just got another one like my existing here - ( no affiliation)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Amflo-3...USA-with-Free-1-4-160-PSI-Gauge-/191595374380

These are both correct sizing for your compressor, mine on IR T30 5hp Baldor 60 gal.

Has worked very well, and both USA made unlike most today, other than the really high $ ones. Marc
