Good Bluetooth Ear Muffs

Looking for opinions here.

I had a gift card to Lowes, even though I dislike the store I bought their Bluetooth earmuffs for like $79. Put them on and was immediately disappointed. Not comfortable and the Bluetooth setting was way too quite. Will be returning tomorrow...

Willing to pay the extra $25 for the Bluetooth feature. Anyone got some suggestions on good ones?

I'm very satisfied with my 3M Work Tunes, although they have an AUX in instead of bluetooth.

FYI, most ear muffs with built in speakers don't go very loud for some rather obvious reasons.

Anything you get commercially is going to be volume limited to the point it's nearly useless. The Worktunes are about useless for podcasts.

I bought a set of motorcycle helmet speakers and rigged them inside my 3M muffs. Cheap Bluetooth convertor stuck to one side with 3M body moulding tape. Works great and you can get it plenty loud.

I think I gave $40 for the speakers and $15 for the convertor. Took me about an hour to fish the wires and solder it back together.

Yes, you can get the volume too loud, but if you have enough sense to use something that makes enough noise that you need hearing protection, you should have enough sense to listen at a reasonable level.

I'm planning on adding an outlet this weekend near the hook where I store the muffs for the charger for the BT convertor.

I've never had any trouble at all hearing my Worktunes - music or talk radio. Even while using equipment that's painfully loud without hearing protection.

Another vote for the 3M worktunes. I liked mine so much, my wife has an identical pair.

Great for when I'm on the tractor (Kubota BX) or pushing the lawn mower.

Took me all summer last year to use one set of batteries.

Bluetooth with the aux port, though truthfully I use the FM radio more than BT. My wife uses the BT more than anything to listen to her books while doing yard work

This is the one that my wife and I both have:

I have AO safety and am not impressed. The preset button quit working, the stations are fuzzy when other radios have no problem (local stations), and they're not quite loud enough.

3M Worktunes with Bluetooth. The music isn't blaring loud but enough to hear well while running equipment. Best deal I found is Northern Tool for $79 plus the $10 off $50 coupon.

I picked up the Howard Leight stereo earmuffs with an AUX port, then picked up a little bluetooth receiver and stuck it to the side with velcro. Works great, comfortable and plenty loud enough! Cheaper than the WorkTunes too. I got both for $30 at the time but it's still only about $40 total right now.

These, use them for mowing. Good sound isolation, can also receive calls. They can be used BT or wired. BT works great.

3M WorkTunes.... got a pair for my dad and he loves them. If the BT volume is low you might have to turn up the volume on the source.

I have had this bluetooth set for about 6 months - got it from farm and fleet on sale for $63 shipped. I used it today while mowing the lawn and using my backpack leaf blower for Spring cleanup. I'd say the only downside is the ear cups get sweaty and slippery, but I'm not sure how to get around that... I also use them in the winter while snowblowing. I mostly listen to podcasts for learning and entertainment, though I do listen to music occasionally. Previously, I used ear buds under regular noise isolation ear muffs. The cord would occasionally snag on something which is majorly annoying.

I highly recommend these ear muffs for anyone doing outside yardwork. They are easy to use and get loud enough. It takes alkaline batteries, but the battery life is excellent. I've used it a few dozen times and am still using the original batteries.

I purchased a pair of the 3M worktunes bluetooth model on Friday. Used them to cut grass over the weekend. I am really impressed with them. Sound is much better than I was expecting. The bluetooth connection worked really well. I have a zero turn mower with a 20hp sitting right behind me so louder than a normal lawn mower and they cut the noise down plenty. I highly recommend these.
