Who makes a good bottle jack?

I'm going to get one to keep in my dually. Hopefully I never use it but it will be kind of important that it works the day I need it.

I went with one of the big red ones from tractor supply. I got one big enough to lift a goose neck trailer…… frequently pull one with our dually and wanta be able to lift trailer loaded and change trailer tire.

I have an 8 , 12 and 20 ton all from HF , no issues, keep the 8 ton in my ram.

I have an old Walker bottle jack that seems quite well made and hasn’t leaked out yet!

Every jack I've had from HF leaked or bled down after a few years. I'm on my 3rd or 4th one in a 20 yr old 12T press that gets used a few times a year. The current one leaks while just sitting there! My HF engine hoist jack was non functional out of the box. My HF floor jack bled down after 5 years of almost no use and went to the recycler. No more HF jacks for me. I've got a 40 yr old Taiwan bottle jack that's flawless. My HW and AC floor jacks are awesome. Yes they cost more, but I'm not throwing them away every 5 years and supporting an intentionally disposable product design.

I bought a 20 ton bottle jack years ago for about $20 brand new. It is a cheap Chinese made one but it has never leaked, and it works as good as any expensive brand name bottle jack.
