If it worked well, he probably wouldn’t have replaced it with a proper sander. I’m thinking the rpms were either too low or it didn’t have enough torque once you put something against the belt. Skip.

Exactly what I’d think, just not enough torque to do much.

Those are actually worth some cash. I sold a little disk sander attachment for $25 so that setup should be worth quite a bit more.

Ha... Or maybe not. I guess the disk sander was a rare piece.

I’d grab that. Get it home and figure out how to power it with my 3/4 horse block grinder or even the Shopsmith.

Would definitely grab that $25 is a good price... reuse the rollers add it to your grinder ? Now you have a grinder sander...

It definitely be weak with that drill running it... but my Milwaukee m18 would work it good! That Milwaukee drill will rip you arm out of its socket if you let it lol

I'd buy it... just because I've never seen one!

If you looked at Craftsman catalogs of the 50s & 60s this multiuse drill powered tools were a "thing". Home DIYers would have thought we are the crazy ones today with our myriad of power tool for every purpose.

In the early 60's, my dad had an aluminum drill with a bunch of attachments, I think it was Powr-Kraft. Came with a buffing wheel, skil saw, jig saw, and right angle drill.

Back in the day (50s & 60s )Black & Decker was a much higher tier product line than the entry level line it is right now.

I also tend to avoid B&D, but still have a few laying around. Always seems as if i’m looking for deals to replace them.
