Sherwin-Williams is having a 40% off deal this weekend and they have a pretty good website for figuring out your color schemes. Behr site is nice also. In fact most all the major paint companies have pretty amazing sites for just this type of endeavor.

Thanks for the heads up. I wont use Behr paint. My wife and I have had problems with the way it flashes. Plus you can't touch it up with out it looking obvious.

Welcome. No worries on the Behr, that is interesting you said that. We had used it exclusively inside for the past few years, but I don't pay much attention to it to be honest.

We are going with the Sherqin williams for outside on our hardie board, and with this deal, I will be getting some to redu the basement as well.

Here is the link and the sale information.

Here is my color scheme (what you can see of it behind all my crapola that is!). I have a low ceiling so I used the paint to break up the wall and make it feel taller. The red stripe is at 32" which gives the illusion of a higher ceiling.

I went with Sherwin-Williams as well. It is pretty much the only one I use. I'll also second the Behr complaints. Have had many issues with it over the years, especially their flats and satins.

Also I would recommend you go with that green Frog tape and test it on a scrap of drywall first. I had a bleeding issue with the red strip and ended up having to seal the tape with a lite coat of the base color first, then I applied the red on top. No more bleeding...

-A laser level helps too...
