I had a old CM tap holder that had cracked.

Took it to sears and all they could offer was a two smaller CM's that were made in china and not near the heft of what I had.

I spotted a Schroder tap holder that was close in size and it was also a ratcheting model.

I asked about it and they , yeah you take swap it out but you wont have the CM warrenty.

With it being german made, I'm sure the quality will be there .

So far , I've excellant service with sears. It'll just we'll start to get china stuff for replacements .

I've got an Irwin tap holder that's clearly made by the same people as that one.
About a month ago, I was tapping something with very little clearance, and a regular tap holder wouldn't be able to make a complete rotation. The ratcheting came in quite handy.

If i ever run into a problem, I just come back when a young person is working the tool section and they usually exchange anything you hand them.

I've never experienced a bad time with any warrenty issue. Chipped chrome, rust with hand tools, even traded in my Robo-Grip set (POS) never even a raised eyebrow. Broken shovel handles, broken hedge trimmer handle, garden trowels, etc. over the last 35 years. I'm a happy customer.........Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!
