Just picked up this set at my local Sears for $39.99.

Web site shows it for $47.99 but in the store it was $39.99. Not trying to get into a Craftsman debate, but I just think it's a great deal.

Looks like a pretty nice kit. Nice to see they didn't skip the T27 and the T47

You know this seems to be the going price for this set now, I've even seen it as low as $29.99. Either way, every time I see it, it tempts me to buy. Looks like a pretty comprehensive set especially for the price, plus no one has really complained about the quality, yet.

Reviews on Sears website say people are getting "Made in China" tools in this set, for those here that care.

Just informational, not trying to start drama.

I'll start listening to the made in China whiners when they post on a US made computer.

Yeah. I buy everything to match my computer COO. I've also been slowly replacing of all my non-computer COO tools I purchased when I was young and stupid.

This was a "deal heist" special last week for 29.99 and comes around frequently. Last years version was USA but now all the new sets are imported. The new blow molded case is made better. Comes with the lower end RP ratchet that I donated to a budding diyer who appreciates my generosity.

back in spring I bought this set and a pedestal for my bench grinder... twisted one socket putting together the pedestal... kept an eye out and swapped my china set for a USA set. Haven't used it yet, but the chrome looks 10x better.

I got one of these last fall for about $24 even though I didn't think I needed it. It is a pretty nice set that I have used a number of times including today. Only problem is that the torx sockets only go to T50, and I needed a T55 to take some bolts off my Corvette yesterday so had to go out and buy a single socket for over $4. Such is life. There always seems to be the unusual size or weird location that requires a unique tool. BTW, if you google Techbargains, you can go to the website and search for Craftsman and frequently find these or other Cman tools on sale for good prices.

If chinese...not good but also not bad. If you need the stuff it'll serve you well it's just that you can probably find better cheaper but mix-match. I'm not a set guy though, unless it's cheap. This is probably easier to keep track of than my hodgepodge of ****.
