Might be just a little overpriced, especially for being 6 years old. Those weren't terribly expensive to begin with. But, it depends on your area. Prices vary by region considerably.

Seems to be an excllent deal, but i agree with 930Dreamer's question. If you're going to use air-intensive tools like sanders or blast cabinets it may be marginal.

to me its no deal at all. new 60 gallon compressors can be had for under 400$
an example would be the kobalt from lowes, has 11.5cfm at 90psi. then use a 10% discount coupon in the usps mover packs. tsc has 1 for 399$ with better specs than that pc. if the guy takes 250 or less than it may be worth it. with his asking price and less than 100$ more you could get new.

7.5 HP isn't bad, but that's not a 7.5 HP. That rating is inflated from the full-stall current draw of the motor. In other words, as the load on the motor has increased to the point where it's just about to burn up, they measure the current draw, convert that to "horsepower" and usually advertise it as "Peak" power. Sears was also notorious for that practice.
