There's a couple boxes I've stumbled across on craigslist relatively near to me, and I was wondering if one or both of them looked like a deal? First, there's this Snap on, and then there's this Blue Point. I don't know anything about them other than what's listed in the descriptions. So, any info about them would be greatly appreciated ie: age, drawer slides, dimensions.

Not my favorite style, and a wide-but-not-deep box. Ask him for the model number and production date off the back.

The snap on looks rough but that may be the pictures. If the drawers work nicely and try them all slowly and several times and its not as beat up as it looks, its probably worth the $5oo or close to it. You can always make an offer.

I'd avoid the Blue point!

That's what I was thinking, but the dimensions in the CL description don't seem right. :headscrat

I just picked up this exact box. Mine was manufactured in 1985, it's a KR 560. 50" wide, 44" tall, and 21" inches deep. I paid $350 for it, plus traded a 33" Mac rollaway for it. It has friction slides all around except for the bottom drawer on the right side is ball bearing slides.

$500 isn't a bad price for that box, but it looks very well used. I don't think I'd pay more than $400 for it, assuming all the drawers work okay.

Yeah, that one you got definitely looks to be in a lot better condition than the one I posted. I was thinking the same thing about paying no more than $400 for it, and that all depends on how it looks/works in person.

Thanks to all for the info and opinions.

Go take a look at it, but those come up for sale every so often so don't feel like you need to get it, even if you can get it for $400. If it's not in the condition you want, pass on it and get something else. Mine was bought by the original owner and he'd taken pretty good care of it.

I just bought the same one for the same price, but mine is in sad shape. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get sliders and the chrome corner pieces for it? Snap on doesn't have it in their catalog.

I'm sorry snap on still makes the draw slides they call them runners. Although I don't see the aluminum corner pieces, and the aluminum draw trims. Any Ideas?

Hi - I have a 1990 KR660-B box and would like to get the 555K3001 Trim Channels for it also. Sounds liek these were discontinued about 6 months ago. Did anyone find a supply of them or are there longer channels for another box that can be cut down? Any help that can be provided would really be appreciated! Thanks - Eric

Hello, I'm new here and in the process of fixing up an old Snap On KR560 box. Ive got all the drawers functioning now, except the largest drawer on the bottom of the right side. It appears that it mounts to the box differently than the other drawers-maybe something bolts to the drawer itself? If anyone has one of these boxes and could let me know I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
