Good deal on swing arm bench light

Hey guys -

I grabbed one of these swing arm magnifying lights a few years back. Turns out I use it more than I had ever anticipated. Great for detail work on the bench. HF has a great price on them this week - $8.

They get used a lot when one gets "older". Keep a plastic bag over it to keep the dust off. The abrasive dust you generate in a shop can scratch the lens.

Not sure how I initially got on HF's e-mail list, but I get an e-mail from them about once a week with a dozen or so coupons. If there's something good, you just print off the coupon you need and you're good to go.

I think I grabbed my light off a clearance rack at the local Target, but HF's sure smells the same. Screwed the base to the side of a cabinet then ran the wire up through the inside of the cabinet.

We have fancier ones at work, that use the 22W circular fluorescent light and a slightly larger lens. ballast is mounted at the base. Great for trying to read part numbers nearly smudged off parts (airline maintenance).
