Any suggestions or pics of what you have?

I just have the typical rubber piece that came with the doors.. But its not a perfect seal on the ends (contractor may have cut it too short, I have no idea)
Ive seen the kind that have a seal on the garage, and then another that setson the floor. Would imagine that would be perfect.

Almost all overhead door mfg have weather seals as an accessory. Do some online checking out places in your area. Once you find a place, give them a call and explain your needs.

I have seen the Griot threshold...I may get something similar... when my floor was poured it slopes toward the outside wall in places and with all the snow that comes in on the vehilces it pools over that way....I may take the treshold seal and run it along that way...should do the trick

You can get the same threshold at Harbor Freight for $20. Get a tube of Liquid Nails and you are ready to go. Works good.

I had a problem with my new rollups. They had the rubber bulb seals and still the things leaked water and blowing sand. So I took the recommendation of the garage door factory rep and bought these from Cabela's and now it is sealed and trouble-free. Bonded these down with Liquid nails.

Does anybody have a problem using the glue to the floor seals with the melting snow and ice being trapped in the garage? Here in the northeast is seems that this might be a problem.

I like the idea of a threshold, but … won’t it make “sweeping out the shop” (or even hosing it down) harder? For those of you with a threshold, is this a problem?

My door keeps freezing to the floor, especially when the car comes in and the snow and Ice melt off it and pool up by the door. Would a better threshold help me stop this?

This is my biggest concern as well. My concrete is far from level so water pools. I push it out now, which is a pain, but at least I can get it out. Of course having the threshold will keep it from coming in, but the cars will always bring in some snow...

I only have some water inside the garage due to some melting snow off the Jeep. I use a push broom and sweeping the dirt and water out is not an issue. I am able to sweep out sand and sawdust right over the threshhold seals no problem.

BTW-if you get these, forget about the little tube of adhesive they give you. I followed the info on a BBS post somewhere: Masked the floor, used Liqiud Nails Poly for bonding the seal to the floor-and then ran a bead of GE silicone caulking just under the edges to seal them nicely. Bonded well-sealed 100%. The liquid Nails and GE Silicone gets put down together as you install the thresholds. It takes a little effort and planning to clean the floor, get these lined up and bonded; yet well worth it for me. You need it dry and sorta warm to bond these down too. These completely fixed the problems of water and sand getting under the rollup door's bulb seal due to uneven concrete. I live in a desert with ocassional snow and a little rain by eastcoast and midwest standards. But Wind-no one gets more wind than we do-Ha Ha.
