I bought the 8ft 4 bulb T8 fixtures. Can get a item number if needed. $38 a piece I believe. No problems at all, no flicker, or hard starting. Dont have my radio out there yet so not sure about interference.

i just bought the same light fixture. i have a 25x30 shop that i just got done building so i bought just one for temp light and it lights up the whole shop real bright and no humming..

I just bought 3 of the 4' T8 utilitech with wide reflector. $38. was tired of changing out junk lights. I got em for $30 ea as they were out of the normal ones.
Cant believe the difference. lit up like a surgical room. ( i bought the "daylight" bulbs) I have a 24x40 with 12' ceilings

Don't want to be a Debbie downer...but:
I decked my shop out with T12's (high output..cold start...not the cheap stuff) two years ago from Lowes and have replaced 8 ballasts out of 14 lights purchased. And...they won't do squat about it and the manufacture which is Cooper Industries won't either because the ballasts were subcontracted out by them and only carry a 30 day warranty.
I will never buy another lighting product from them. Local electrical shop that orders USA stuff is the only way I'll buy shop lights again.

It is a Utilitech brand (seems to be a Lowe's house brand). It is made in China. The ballast states 1.5 amps. So far, it does not hum or flicker or casue a problem with the FM radio. I am actually going to use six of these for garage lighting plus one for the workbench.

I can't really recommend anything from Lowes, I don't shop there. I did buy my 4 bulb T8 strip lights from Menard's. I am happy with them so far.
