Greetings from the Southwest side of Chicago in the shadow of Midway Airport!
Over the years many of my questions about tools have led me here so I finally decided to sign up.
My 2 car garage is a pallet-racked monstrosity mostly serving as storage space (houses are small down here) for my family and my various non-automotive hobbies (Wargaming, music, model trains, etc.) . It will never be worthy of glamour shots, but I'm slowly putting together a workshop and what brings me here is tools.
Starting with what were my grandfather's, I'm building up a good set of tools primarily by picking up used USA-made pieces. I'm always interested in the history of what I've got, so expect lots of posts with questions about tool history.
