Good morning.
I finally decided to create an account here after many years of lurking and searching here for ideas and solutions to specific problems.
I’m placing the concrete for the foundation of my 18’x35’ metal building tomorrow but the building won’t be here for another four to six weeks. It won’t be the shop I always “dreamed of” but I am finally able to justify the cost for something. Initially the building will be for storage for a racecar and garage tools from my “other house” so we can finally move completely out and get it on the market. I have another 24’x32’ garage on the property so eventually I would like the second building to evolve into more of a shop with lift than storage.
I have 40+ years experience in construction so I’ll be doing most of the buildout myself. At this point I’m mostly planning on electrical/lighting requirements. I haven’t made a decisions yet on whether I’ll insulate or not. If I do, it’ll be air conditioned.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to spending more time here and hopefully be able to contribute.
