I'm brand new to this site and I have a problem I hope someone out there can help me with. I am in the process of rebuilding my Craftsman 113.299410 table saw. I have disassembled, sandblasted, primed and painted every part. I meticulously put the relevant parts together, but, somewhere in the process I accidently discarded the stiffener base (part# 824637, key# 21) that attaches to the inside of the saw cabinet that the ball end of the tilt screw mechanism fits into. Both Craftsman and Ridgid list the part as obsolete, so I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to provide me with the dimensions of the part so I can make one myself since it doesn't look too complicated.

Or do you have a friend who owns the same saw? If you do, you could take a look at his.

Not sure where you live, but you should check Craigslist, OfferUp, or your local thrift stores for another saw. These saws are extremely durable and therefore plentiful and inexpensive.

I bought my first for $25 then a second for $20 to use for parts. Here in the Portland area, there are always 3 or 4 for sale at $50 or less.

I've checked all the recommended sources y'all have made, but no luck so far. I did make one out of some aluminum channel, but it is crude, and the tilt wheel is hard to spin (but that was also an issue before the rebuild). Thanks again!
