Good or bad? Small tool box

I found this at one of the thrift stores around me. Paid .75 for it. Can anyone give me any info on it?

yea, it's rusted, the handle is missing, and the tote tray handle is bent....

Thin metal leads me to think it wasn't that great to start with. Worth the 3 quarters tho to at least keep something organized.

For 75¢ you really can't go wrong.

Post a few more pics and dimensions, would help in identifying it. So many different companies made hand carry boxes over the years it is a pretty large pool to choose from without certain specifics.

What is that other rusty box in the pic? Old craftsman?

Ya the other is a craftsman. Ill have to take some more pics and get dimensions latter. Heading to work now.

I doubt Kennedy, and it's too short for a carpenters box. Not a lot to go on for positive ID though....

I'm gonna agree on the not a carpenters box. No knockout for a framing square on the lid.

What's the best way to go about cleaning the rust off of something like that?

I figure it to be an old mechanics box since its got the divider for sockets in the tray .
A lot of work to get it like new but its still salvageable .

It used to belong to a guy named Hinton.
