I'm needing a good P/S pulley puller and installer kit that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I've been using cheapy Performance Tool branded ones for years and although I've had to replace it a couple times from getting worn out it never bothered me since they were only about $25 a pop. That was until the last one I just bought...they got real cheap and turned it into a pile of garbage. It has nowhere near the quality or beef of the previous ones I've had. Broke the first time I used it.

Snap On man had a nice looking one sitting on the truck today but $400 ON SALE!!! No thanks! I don't have a problem spending money on quality stuff but 400 bucks for something like that is just ridiculous.

Any recommendations?

I bought one of those Lang's for three dollars at Habitat a while back.... It was complete and looked nearly new....

I've got the Lisle, works great, handle on the remover could be longer. Snapon works great but I didn't want pay that much. The OTC installer that's part of the kit *****, wants to unthread out of the PS pump shaft. I've never used the Lang

Another vote for the Lisle. It has never failed me and the price was right. I'm a bit partial since the factory is fairly local to me.

depends on how often you need it, the hf is good for a couple pulls

Wait till you try to remove the “ coupling “ from a Cummins power Steering pump to Vacuum Pump . Let me know if it’s a tough job .

I've got two Lisle kits...I broke many pieces in my kit over the years. One parts store I frequented back in the day would rob parts from one on their shelf. When they were liquidating tools the guy working their saved the partial kit and gave it to me so I'd have spare parts. I replaced the missing and broken parts so I had one for work and one for home. Works well enough for me, but I have broken certain pieces over the years.

How much longer you got in the game? I bought the Snap-on set in the 90’s and it’s pulled and installed untold numbers of PS pulleys in pro use. It pulls those tough stuck pulleys that break other pullers.
