Don't know about quality differences, but the 14 gallon 6.5 horse Ridgid is normally $99 at HD but they have a special buy going that comes with a car accessory kit for the same price. I've been really happy with mine.

I have a Rigid as well.. Probably the same model. You wouldn't believe what that thing had been through for me... And this thing has been around for 10+ years. Great machine.

I do wish shop vacs would come up with a better hose storage solution. These things always have the hose springing out and catching everything when you're trying to store them.

Wonder if I could make some sort of caddy out of PVC pipe that would hold the hose better?
