I am lookin for a 24 27 28 30 and 32mm spanners I don't really want to buy snapon because it's too expensive. I was thinking of the britool expert ones, they seem to be reasonably priced in the UK but I've herd the quality has gone down from then standard britool. Any other recommendations? Thanks

How much are you looking to spend?

Long pattern or short.

Hazet, Gedore, Unior and Elora are a few options.

Spanners cost a fortune if you are buying individually.

If you take your time you can pick up the larger sizes cheap on ebay.

e.g.

remember 28mm is the same as 5/8 whitworth:

can you get Proto, Wright or S-K over there in the UK? they all make great wrenches.

It's like you guys buying Euro, it's possible but shipping costs kill any deal, many USA companies won't ship to Europe?? If UK customs intercept a package which has avoided tax, may God have mercy on your soul :)

Are we talking British spanners (USA wrenches) or something like a pin spanner?

The English language is sometimes difficult to communicate with.

The Greeks and Romans called it Torch, I think we just adopted it.

Bear in mind most Flashlights don't actually flash and I think you have to agree we got it right first time :)

Can you get Wright or Proto over in the UK ?

Never seen Wright, have a couple of Proto sockets I inherited from somewhere

I guess you could get it shipped over, I tend to buy Koken sockets (really reasonable cost) and Snappy spanners (f*cking expensive over here).

You can get MAC/Cornwell (never seen any Cornwell)

We can get SK pretty easy from eBay from Brit sellers

Cornwell spanners in those large sizes would be absolutely awesome.
