Good rechargeable led droplight?

I'm looking for a nice cordless led drop light that I can use in an engine bay or when I'm laying under a car to lay on it's back to shine up.
Last year around Black Friday I bought a craftsman rechargeable led droplight from sears for $20 bucks. My opinion on it isn't very good. It's not that bright and doesn't last that long. I'm just plain sick of it.
Here is a pic of it

Lately I have been eyeing up the new bluepoint ones they sell but they are on sale right now for $90 but that still seems a little high for me. Also the hooks on the back kinda seem like chinksy thin plastic.
Here is what I'm talking about

I just wanna get something that will last me a couple years of I spend the money. Any other ideas out there? Maybe something off amazon or something maybe even as simple as from Home Depot?

I had a Harbor Freight cordless LED light that lasted for ten years until the battery gave out. I figured I could find a replacement, but haven't. Now I'm kicking myself for not just replacing the battery! My friend also loves this light and tracked down a replica under the name Astro Tools 5300L but that model has also become impossible to find. It has a rubber body and the HF version was black but the Astro is dark blue. Anyone?

Some other flavors to choose from:

I'm on my third one, last two crapped out solely due to my mis-use/abuse.

How does it charge? Does it sit in a base or use a cord? Can you post some pics of it when u get a chance. I looked that one up on amazon and it actually has good reviews.

I just feel that there isn't really awesome options for drop lights yet with good durability and quality. The flashlight market is great now and u can get good flashlights for cheap but not so much yet on droplights

I'd like to find one too. The Nightstick family of lights has so much potential, but they are just not quite well built enough for the kind of things I use it for. The handle of mine is wrapped in duct tape as a result of a single 3 foot fall to the floor.

I sell tons of these atd 80304's and have at least three at home. One click for the main strip led and second click will light up the end light. Love these lights,...

I'm starting to really rethink this droplight dilemma. My main problem I feel with battery powered things like this I kill them quick because they sit out in my garage which is cold during the winter except for the times I turn on the salamander heater.
Plus with finicky cordless electronics like that.....it's hard for me to bite the bullet and spend close to 100dollars on something that may or may not work in a year and have no warranty

There's a reason why people like the Milwaukee light stick. It has a good warranty, and is pretty durable. It also has a light output that is comparable to a drop light. Not many other cordless lights can complete, and there really isn't anything significantly under $100 that will do what you want in cordless.

I have one of those Craftsman lights, and several more at work.
For $17 (on the best sale), they are a VERY good deal. But they are in no way a direct replacement for a plug in lamp.

ATD Tools 80360 Saber-II 60-SMD LED Cordless Rechargeable Work Light.

I abuse this thing like nothing else in my shop. The battery lasts hours and hours and hours. You can leave it off the charger for days and it still holds a charge. It has two swiveling hooks on either end so you can hang it horizontally. It's ridiculously bright. I even strap it to the front of may lawnmower so I can cut the grass at night. I use it camping, fishing, for home repairs, walking the dog and of course in the shop. Under the hood, under the chassis, in the wheel well, in the interior, you name it. I also hang it from the rear view mirror if I'm doing interior work and it lights up the whole cabin.

I also want to add that it's been dropped, stepped on, kicked, scratched, had paint dumped on it, been left outside in the Wisconsin winter for days on end and I even melted the back of it. Still works like the day I got it. I bought it in April of 2013 and it's still in use today.

This. I've had 4... I know I lost one, not sure where the 2nd went, and I currently have 2. Not one has been broken, and I've beat the **** out of them. I've dropped them all hard enough to send the batteries flying, and they light back up as soon as I pop it back in.

Compared to the EZReds my boss loves, which last 1-4 drops before they're screwed. And half the time the hook breaking for no reason is the cause of the 1st one. We have like 4 in the shop, and pretty much warranty one every 2 weeks with Snap On.

The streamlight knucklehead is by far the most usefull light I've ever had.

I've got the rechargeable version with the magnet and hook. I can put it just about any position and get light exactly where I want it. It puts out a very good flood of bright light (not a spot like you think it might be when you look at it) and seems to last a long time on a charge. I've actually never had it go dead on me, but I always put it back on the charger when I'm done with it. It seems to be extremely well built too.

I had the red one like this......it didn't have the light on the top. I want this one. I left the red one in a vehicle........its gone. I left it in many vehicles and it fell out, it came back a couple times, I saw it fall out a couple times. Sometimes the magnet held it till I found it again. If this black light is as good as the red one......,that light on the end makes it almost perfect.
