Finding them at $55+ on ebay/amazon.

But this little cheapo Metabo screwdriver (made in PRC) is only selling for about $130 shipped these days. So not worth replacing batteries at that price.

Bosch used to have a nice German made one and SO used to have a nice USA made one (but spendy!).

Ideas? Probably replace unless I can find the battery.

I really like the size of this little driver/drill. I bought some generic "higher capacity" batteries from Amazon (or somewhere) and they didn't fit well. Broke them apart and put the cells in the old cases. The little PCB on the new batteries didn't look at all like the originals and the new ones won't hold a charge, even when constantly plugged in. Stick to the originals if you can find them.

Thanks. It is a nice screwdriver. They used to have a guy who would rebuild batteries around here (don't know the quality). And I've seen generic. Will look for the originals.

Let me check battery # tonight. I have the screwdriver set similar to your drill, plus two new batteries in the boxes never used. PM me.

Oops, sorry Mooky, just now seeing this :) Very kind of you to offer.

I tried this outfit and will report back when I get them back.

$10 per to refurb plus $7 to ship back to me. Worth trying I figured.
