Seems like whenever I need to use the gas axe, it's always miserable hot and still. I wear glasses and no matter what, goggles always fog up, or I get an eye full of sweat...usually when cutting a bearing race off a shaft, or something requiring precision.
Looking for reccomendations for a good tinted full face shield.

My local welding store has them, bought two sets of head gear, one with a clear polycarb and another with a shaded one. The clear was about 7 dollars and the shaded one was 20 dollars i think. If it makes any difference this store was AGL.

I have a Uvex Turbo shield with a clear lens and a shade 5 lens works great for
cutting, grinding, plasma, oxy/act.... its not cheap but its built better and more comfortable then any others I have tried. I can switch lens in under a minute... I highly recommend them...

This is exactly what I'm running now but they offer all sorts of lens coated/uncoated... clear up to shade 5...

I started using the Jackson shields from the local welding supply over 40 years ago. They are pretty basic and there is no compound curve to the shield. I have never had a problem with them. I use the clear version for grinding and power washing. I use the tinted version for cutting, brazing, and Oxyacetelyne welding.
