My MIL wanted us to clean out the storage attic above her garage yesterday(my FIL having past away last Sept) and has been giving me all his tools, etc.

Anyway, back in the corner I found this Impact Gun. Its a Goodyear Racing 24v 1/2" Impact Gun with sockets and extension.

I brought it home and put the battery on charge for a half hour to test it and it works fine. I don't remember my FIL ever mentioning that he bought this. It definitely has never been used.

Couldn't find any manufacturer, but does state in specs on back of the plastic case that the gun is MIC and the accessories are MIT with a Copy Right date of 2003. Not sure if its that old.

Not sure if I'm going to use it, but if I do I'd use my own sockets and only for my vehicles. Kind of a way of thinking about my FIL.

Those were sold at Pep Boys, I have one purchased right around 2003 along with an extra battery. It still works. I'm not sure how, the batteries are 15 years old, but it works and works good for what it is.

I still have the sockets and the extensions...they're in one of several road bags / boxes that get used all the time...on par with your typical import impact sockets, except they were painted black, not black oxide. They work fine.
