90% of forklifts can't be hauled on that yellow trailer behind the dumptruck. Has an inner frame rail that is raised about 4" and too wide outside those rails. Anything big enough to fit in the tire tracks is going to be too heavy to haul behind a pickup. Forklifts are some of the hardest things to load and haul because of so little ground clearance and so much weight in a concentrated area. Almost need a tilt trailer for the smaller ones.

Another rental place includes a trailer in the forklift rental, I was good to go for Thursday but its going to snow. I have this dump trailer with a 9250 load rating(7K axles) might be able to use this for a smaller forklift, need to check for inside tie points.

Jmo but you really really don't want to pull serious weight on a receiver-hitch pulled trailer. Tongue weight has to be precisely managed which might mean un-chaining, moving a few inches and re-chaining. With Hours wasted.

With a GN you just load it up. The "neck" weight being directly over the axle makes a huge difference in handling. There's still a little windage but getting 2000-3000# of "neck" weight is no problem. The 1 ton truck actually rides better with 1 ton of weight in it.

I've hauled my 8,000lb forklift in the dump trailer, works okay but I had to help it up the ramps as the trailer is kind of tall.f62901e1ef6804b013375a69b9f04bb8.jpg

Agreed, once I bought the gooseneck I don't like to pull anything else.43bc811e30a91bb04eb554c49e0afe0a.jpg
