In amoungst the tools I left behind in SA were a set of these , Gorilla adjustable wrenches /spanners.
These were really good for the price and gripped quite well. Not the same Gorilla brand as here.

Here in the US or online , i can only find the much softer, cheaper quality ones that cost more!
Anyone know which ones are decent here or online ? I've tried a few and returned them all. I just can't seem to find the same quality ones anywhere. My trip back to SA keeps being postponed and I do miss these as they made great 2nd wrenches for nuts/bolts as well as great for plumbing or jjst to quickly tighten something. They gripped really well too , the ones I've been able to get slip really easily as well as the teeth damage easily despite looking the same /similar.

No personal experience and it's going to be pretty tough to compare experiences in any case, but I see the Pipe Vise wrenches advertised frequently here. I know Matco sells some but I'm sure they're crazy expensive.

Vim, Area, and I'm sure others sell some that fit on a ratchet or extension instead of having dedicated handles. I have the vim set in my mobile kit but don't often use them. Good luck.

The “TOP” Japanese tool brand makes a version of that wrench, but without the softgrip handle.
I haven’t tried the TOP version, but Japanese tool brands seem to have a better reputation for properly hardening their tools nowadays than tools made in some other areas.
TOP calls the wrench type the “Speed Wrench”, as do some other manufacturers.
You can usually find the wrenches on eBay sold by tool dealers from Japan.
Rothenberger also made a version of the speed wrench, although I’m not sure whether it us still in the Rothenberger tool catalog.
I have no clue were the Rothenberger version was/is made, but it was definitely different from the TOP version.
