Looked at one yesterday that was exactly like that, but blue. He was asking $650, I hope you get a better deal

Cabinets can be painted. Easy enough to do.

I have two red ones and a blue one myself, all re-painted. At work there are probable 50 of them that have at least a dozen coats of blue paint on them. And then there are another dozen grey ones......also painted.

I'd image if a company ordered enough of them or was willing to pay extra, they could get them any color.

Personally, I've never seen a brown one.

I re-paint them and put new handles on them (ordered from Lista) and I get accused of having brand new cabinets all the time. And my best looking cabinets looked worse than that one before I got them.

Well I just picked up the cabinet. Got it for $250. Sort of wished I had seen the post Eric noted. I will say one thing it is heavy. Now I just need to figure out a way to get it off my truck and to fit it in my small 2 car garage with all the other stuff I have in it. Figure worst case I let it go to someone with more space.

It does have some wear and tear but can't complain for the price. Currently doesn't have any casters. Anyone have suggestions on how to add them?

If you will bring it up here to Rochester, I'll be happy to get it off of your truck. You'll get better mileage going back home too!

Last night I installed the various drawer partition and dividers. Can't believe how many came with cabinet. Wouldn't mind another set each for the larger two drawers. Still not sure about adding casters. Seems as though it's not common due to the cabinet dimensions (too tall).

Can I ask what kind of paint you use? I just picked up a Vidmar cabinet that is in pretty dire need of repainting, and I'm having a hard time deciding on something that will be easy to apply but also will withstand a moderate amount of abuse.

Regular Rustoleum/Krylon has worked fine for me.

Hammerite (Kilz) would work really well and would be my first choice if I was to paint another cabinet: http://www.kilz.com/hammerite/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=51d390033f9ff110VgnVCM1000008a05d103RCRD

An auto paint with hardener would also work fine......
