Well the other day I was browsing through CL and found this bench grinder listed. Drove over to look at it and it came home with me. He was asking 80 bucks and I offered him 65 and he didn't hesitate accepting it. Runs like a sewing machine, just smooth as silk. And I also happened onto a couple motors as well. 3.5 hp variable speed. Not sure what to use them for but I'll surely find something.

Been looking high and low for a 1/2 to 3/4 hp Baldor grinder on the cheap too. Great find!

Nice catch. 
One of only two electric powered grinders I've ever purchased is a Baldor. They seem to be very sturdily built things. Not a brand I've seen a lot of across here either, which is one of the reasons I purchased that when it came up fairly local on Ebay a year or two ago.

Are those Blockhead's in Torqueman's sig image? Intriguing design.
This is the one I got. It's still in the same condition now. It got shoved under the bench as one of those future tidy up jobs, but still hasn't made it to the top of the bench as yet. Normally I like to stick with English kit mainly, but I do have to admit that you made some damned fine grinders across there.
