Bought this 24" ratchet off of ebay last week and it delivered today and it is a 24" 1/2 snap on ratchet as described but it is a SN24B breaker bar handle with the ratchet head retro fitted and that was not mentioned in the description and I payed to much for this with no warranty. I sent the seller an email to see what they will do first.:headscrathttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330520313217&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT

They should have mentioned that in the description.
Isn't it functionally the same? I assume you figured out because the handle has the breaker bar part number?

Well, if you can't work it out with the seller open a case with eBay. eBay is seller-biased. There's a good chance they'll force the guy to take the tool back. Be sure you say, "not as advertised" - that's the key. Don't say "I'm not happy" or anything else like that. You'll be stuck for return shipping (with delivery confirmation).

Yes it still is the same but no warranty or even the resale if I decided to flip it.

Is it made by Snap-on? Yes.
Is it functionally a flex-head ratchet? Yes.
Were any model numbers given in the listing? No.

I don't see a problem. It was as advertised. Looks more like you based a purchase on a bad picture and a very brief description.

And that is exactly what the seller wanted....

One could argue that it is not a ratchet but a converted breaker bar made to perform as a ratchet. Perhaps a technical distinction but legal issues are almost always settled on technical details it seems.

The reasonable expectation on reading the ad is the seller is selling a ratchet made by Snap on not on something made of miscellaneous parts by someone in a basement or garage.

I personally would pursue a dispute.

If you look through the seller's feedback you will see that he sells a lot of tools and always lists the tool part numbers in his auctions. He knew exactly what he was selling.

I agree. He knew what he had and probably made it. It is deception and he should handle it to you're liking.
Thing is, if he had just stated that it was a combination of 2 tools his credibility would be strengthened AND it probably would have sold for close to that amount anyway.

He is also selling a proper one but not with the 24" handle.

If he doesn't work with you I'd open a grievance with ebay as was said above "Not as described" and get exact snap on names for the tool you were led to believe it was and the breaker bar that it should have been described as to send to ebay.
