I have to say that this is the smoothest ratchet I've ever held. Just a tiny bit smoother than my buddies SK (which was the champ). If I had to pick nits it would be that I'd like the knurling to have more "bite". Other than that what a beautiful piece. I snapped some pics next to my Wera bit driver, which is tiny. Sorry for the poor pics, know I need a better (read newer) camera but I seem to spend my money on tools instead. :lol_hitti

Off topic, but depending on your trade, a new camera could be considered a tool...

But way cheaper than that is some decent lighting. I've got a generic $10 halogen desk lamp, and it performs wonders with my eight year old camera. I'd far rather have a mediocre camera and great lighting than a fantastic camera with terrible lighting.

Back on topic, where did you get that ratchet from? I'm actually in the market for a flex head 1/4" ratchet myself, and I'm looking forward to hearing some more about your Facom. I don't think I've come across a thread about this particular ratchet before.

Yeah the fluorescent bulbs I put throughout the house does not lend themselves to good pics (at least not with my crappy camera).

Anyhoo, got the ratchet from evilbay, a seller called two_angels ([email protected]). Very highly recommended ebayer. Have not used the ratchet yet as I just pulled it out of the mailbox about an hour ago but can tell you that it's top shelf. Finish is fantastic. Did I mention that it was smooth? LOL

Does look similar to SK. Slowly been picking up Facom stuff for several years and have been happy with all of it. Some of which I picked up when Griots actually had a few tools. What happened, they hardly have any now.
