The only thing I've found that I don't like about my Mitsubishi is that the lowest I can set it when on heat is 61F. I'd like to leave it at 55F when I'm not going to be in the shop for a couple days then turn it up when needed.

The other thing is that I ended up with two mounting brackets for the outside unit. I bought one locally and ordered another by mistake. I waited too long to return one so I'll try to sell the extra when I get enough posts to list in the classified section.

Jim, if you press the little 'sensor' button at the bottom of your remote until you see the 'house' symbol appear to the right of the temperature setpoint readout, you can adjust the temp to 50F. It hasn't gotten cold enough here to determine how well this setting works, but I can get my remote to display 50F as the temp setpoint when I do this.

Great, I'll try that. Thanks for the tip.

That didn't do it. The house is showing but I can still only set the temp as low as 61. I must be doing something else wrong.

I wonder if this limitation is common to hyperheat models. I have found the same thing on my Gree -22f unit - minimum set point of 61f. The printed manual talks about a energy save 50f mode, but the online literature seems to no longer show it so I am thinking they took it out of the low temp models.

That may be the case here as well. I never saw anything in the manual talking about a minimum set temperature but it does have an "absence detection" mode that changes to an energy saving mode when nobody is in the room. I'll see what that does.

Unfortunately, there's no settable values between 50 and 61. I'm actually hoping it gets cold enough here to see how well the 50* setting works. I know the 61 works well, as I tried that when we had a bit of a cold snap and the min/max temp over 2 days didn't get below 60.

My display looks just like that except I can't adjust the temp lower than 61, and I don't have the triangle surrounded by the arrow in the upper right corner of the display.

That is for the 'smartset' feature (no idea what that means :D ) it's the 4th button from the top on the left side of the remote

Pretty sure it's the MSZ-FH15NA indoor unit, with the MUZ-FH15NA outdoor one. I'll verify when I get home.
