Got my new box!!!

Well i got my new box last week. Its a KRL1022 with a stainless top and work riser. I got an awsome deal on this box. I got the riser and stainless top for free, I got more than i paid for my old box $3,000 and a $810 rebate. I got $700 from Snappy and $110 from my dealer. So After all the rebates and discounts and trade in i made out like a bandit. I paid right around $4000 for a brand new $11,000 setup, I am happy with it and really cant believe how deep these drawers are, Here is what i traded in

Here is the new bad boy, I will post some pics of the drawers when i get them all fixed up, I was going to order a new KRL1023 in cranberry but i would be paying around full retail for it, When he cane up with this deal i couldnt pass it up

ALOT, The old box was 52x19x38, This one is 54x30x45 with a riser the difference is amazing, The bottom box was 19,500ci this one is 33,700ci

That is awsome. I have a similar box, in black too The riser looks awsome. I've wanted a riser and locker for a long time. I didn't realize that the SS pegboard in back was part of the package. Were the shelves extra?

Beautiful box! Its amazing how the KRL series looks so much "cooler" then the classic series without the chrome accents; glad you are happy with your new purchase! That riser must be nice to be able to just lock the the top and not worry about things "walking away" on you! It looks mint; was it new or used?

Do the mounting screws still take a 3/16 Allen wrench?

SO raised all their prices.. my krl1023 w/ riser and locker prices out at over $16000 now... rediculous.

Very nice box TheToolMan!!! Mine is the same color but Calssic 78. I hope to soon get a riser like that for mine. Again, way to go, very nice!

My dealer completely builds up and checks the boxes before delivering. The back of the truck has a tommy lift. They just lift it up and roll the box in, then drop it off wherever it's going.

Mine did the same. He lifted it off the back of the truck, put everything together, let me pick out $200 of accessories for it, and even wiped it all down with a soft cloth even though it didn't need it. Excelent service.

Nope my snap on guy built it for me, just the same a nissan_crawler's dealer, Only thing i had to do was take off the plastic that was stuck all around the riser and stainless top, I also had to put in the mats

Wish I could say mine was as clean and nice. Mine was used so it has a few dings and scratches. I got it for $3000 without any trade in. Also got $750 gift certificate from SO. I probably could have gotten one for cheaper had I looked hard and had cash up front. Oh well.

How are your top 2 drawers set up? i am doing mine with socket stuff in the top drawer and wrenches in the second, Just curious if you have any pics?

Yeah same way. Sockets, drive tools up top, wrenches 2nd down.

It is a little tall but its not to bad, I was going to go with a shorter box but i couldnt pass up the deal he gave me. I can still work in there just fine. the box comes about 1/2 way between my belly button and boobies

Did you get a cover for it? My Snappy guy says all the covers are modular too, as you add, risers, lockers etc, the cover has extra panels you can zip on. Is this true?

No i didnt get a cover for it, Im not sure if they are modular but it makes sense, I work in a industrial electronics repair shop and it is real clean in here so there is no need to cover it up
