Installed my Caribe finally.

30KBTU

Honeywell "Servi-Sert" Risers almost cost more than the heater.

I picked it up at a garage sale for $200.00. All ready to go for natural gas. 4fd166e7cbd5d9e556cefc2e6d54103e.jpgadfdad952a2108316098a8ded653954b.jpg1dc1e97d55ecfad5b4d2e10267f3ad35.jpgd260c2823a05bfc186922ebac5c7606f.jpg

200 is a sweet deal. Is that a U shape tube?

I have probably spent way to my time researching a heater for my garage. I think I would rather a straight tube mounted at an angle in the corner.

You can still angle this model that way. The intake and exhaust are vented out of the same location. Looking back I kinda wish I had mounted it that way. Back then I was worried about losing shelving area on the wall since my ceilings are only 8'....sadly.

Though this way it's installed has impressed me so far on the cool Wyoming nights. It is low intensity as well so you don't feel like you're being sunburned.

They are great heaters, but watch the roof of your truck. You may want to put a heat shield up there. Remember this heater heats objects, not the air. It takes a while to bring all the objects up to temperature. Remember to install the thermostat a long way away from the heater, and don't adjust is once properly set.

Put a cap on that exhaust, or you will have birds building nests in there. Ask me how I know.:)
I was thinking on putting a vent cap on it. But, I am worried that it may start to flip the limit switch if I do so? The factory set up is either how I have it or a turn down pipe.

Putting some coarse wire mesh screen over the end should do the trick without causing too much resistance.

I ended up getting a bird nest in there. I should of listened to you and the others posts. Talk about a total pain in the a** to get that thing fished outta there. She had it all the way back by the tubulators. Never again.
