Got some new stuff

My mother in laws parents own a appliance repair shop and a laundry mat in Rogers, AR. But they are too old now and can no longer run them. So my mother in law gave me this old Pepsi and Toms candy machine, I am pretty excited, they both work, with a little work they will be great.

Nice score! I want a drink machine just like that! I have my eye on a cigarette machine from the 60's that is in a local restaurant. The past few times I've been in there its been unplugged. Gonna ask next time I'm there.

Those are both cool. I particularly like the old Pepsi machine. I passed on a FREE soda machine last year. Just didn't have a place to store it...still don't for that matter. But I hated not grabbing it. I'm glad you were able to snag those.

I like the soda machine, even though I'm a coke guy. Can you get glass bottles anymore?

The candy machine doesn't thrill me, must have gotten my money eaten too many times.

as for glass bottles, yes you can get them, takes some work to find stores that carry them, sometimes stores can/will special order stuff i know albertsons does/has before

I had a Pepsi machine just like that when I first moved out of my folks place. I used it as a refrigerator (the little 2 cu. foot "box" behind the big door).

Of course, the beverages went behind the little door

It seems I jammed a 1/4" drill bit wrapped with tape into something to disable the bottle locking mechanism, but that was a lot of years ago....

Just my thought’s but; DON’T TOUCH THE PEPSI MACHINE, that thing tells a story, you have the rat rod of vending machines. Give it 12 months it will grow on you.

Love the pepsi cooler, I have one somewhat like that one, And it still works, I just can't get to it to take pic's right now.
