Got some old tools yesterday!

I live near an old hardware store that is rarely open anymore. The owner is a great guy, but he doesn't like pickers, flippers, and lowballers. He really likes selling things to people who appreciate them, and he will usually sell things very reasonably. I was lucky enough to purchase these pliers and wrenches from him, I am not sure of the brands on some. Several appear to be refrigeration wrenches, hog ring pliers, and there two sets of OLD lineman's pliers. Not sure on the others.

Top left to right they are:

?? (The handles on the pliers are offset)

Bottom left to right they are:

Drop Forged Made in USA (no sizes or other marks)
Select Steel, Drop Forged, Made In USA, P027, 19/32 and 11/16 sizes.
MFD. Penens Corp. Chicago USA, A 6 7, 9/32 and 11/16 sizes.
True Craft NO. 100, Forged in USA, open end 9/16, box end 1/2.
Barcalo-Buffalo, Made in USA, 6" Drop Forged Steel
9026 and 471 and a weird symbol...like an A in a circle.

Any info on these tools is appreciated.

Here are few other things I scored! I love the old boxes the tools came in so I have purchased the files and their boxes, those Disston hacksaw blades are dated 1977. The plumb 13 oz (odd size) hammer still has the promotional tag attached. I also purchased a lot of old electrical items, outlets, switches, etc all in their original boxes. Too cool!

In the first picture, there is a wrench with a hole drilled through the center of the handle; what is purpose behind this?

^^ Many times old sets were managed by having a bolt and wing nut to hold all the wrenches together when not in use.

Thank you, I have found quite a few wrenches just like the one shown that also have a hole through the center, and I was baffled by what the purpose would have been.

It is really hard to tell if that hole was original or added, I think those type of wrenches were usually automotive and might have been in a repair kit.

Woody- thanks for the link, it is cool to read up on these pliers. The 'lineman' pliers are not really lineman pliers, as they have no side cutter, just more teeth. Maybe they were for fencing? They have a notch style cutter built in.

I didn't realize that Barcalo-Buffalo was a the same company as BarcaLounger! That adjustable wrench seems a lot more interesting to me now. Penens was associated with PROTO? Cool! The history of these tools is fascinating stuff.

Thank you. Here is a DuroChrome ratchet I found, I don't think it is 'old' like some of these other tools, but it is at least from the late 70s or early 80s. It is missing a screw, and the remnants of the old screw are broken off in the bottom plate. I am trying to extract it without damaging the plate. The ratchet still works great!
