Got the supercombos on order. Now help me build a nice Williams socket collection. My current set is craftsman which has served well except for the knuckle busting self reversing teardrop ratchets. My intent is too gradually build and change over the set so my wallet doesn't hurt so bad. I think my initial purchase should be a USA made 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2" ratchet set. My primary purpose for the socket set will be working on my vehicles so metric will be used most of the time.

Goe 3/8 and 1/4 first unless you work on really big stuff.

That sounds like a good idea. Using a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter on the bigger stuff has served me well for the last twenty years. I can always have my 1/2" impact sockets pull double duty until I build up the set. So......... should I start out with 12 pt or 6 pt?
