Your right it's not for sale. I was just showing it, sorry about that, it was intended for general tool discussion.

I tried every thing on photo bucket to get them larger to no avail.

Nice box. What is the model number?

Re the photos - FWIW, I'm reminded yet again of why I don't use photohoneybucket. Just **** photo hosting site.

For $100 you got a very nice box that is a part of SO history. Clean it up, put some new drawer liners in it and enjoy. Clean and lube the slides if needed. You will never wear it out. Great buy and you ****!!

You don't have to paint it for me, just a nice cleaning will do. I sent you payment by Paypal...so when can I expect delivery. Anyway nice score, that is a nice box.

Clean it well, and use some rubbing compound on it to see if the finish is salvageable; DON"T apply ANY sort of wax or polish, unless you are convinced you want to keep the original finish. If you decide not to keep the original paint, go for it.

It's not that bad looking, but I can't tell what is grime and what might be rust. I'd probably be painting that if I had it.

I hate bring this up....but I have doubts it's a Snap-On Box.

The top compartment is exactly like a MBC I bought in the 1960's
The drawer pulls are exactly the same and drawer layout is similar
3 point lock system is the same
Drawer dividers in long drawer are the same

Maybe somebody put on an SO logo long ago?

Perhaps some experts in SO boxes can clear this up...did SO ever use MBC as a supplier?
(Metal Box and Cabinet Co. Chicago)

I did that to a Waterloo box that I still own (see photo)

I still would like to know the model number. I've never seen one with the double deep drawer on the top right.
