I'm looking for tips on how to put up fibreglass batt insulation to the bottom of the trusses. It's just me, a ladder, a staple gun and 11' walls. I screw a board to the bottom of the trusses and drape the batt over it and start at one end. Is there a better way?

if your trusses are walkable, put up most of your ceiling material(drywall etc.) then just lay the batts in.

I just stuck it in between the trusses and friction held it. Those wires would eliminate the need to screw a board. I did it a long time ago but it wasn't that big of a deal.

^^This.
I just had me, a ladder and a staple gun. Friction held it while I wiggled it into place and stapled it. No biggie.
Good luck.

As said above it should friction fit to keep it in place for stapling. Here are a few pic's of my garage while insulating. For the ceiling I used the stand in the last pic to roll around on. Much better than a ladder. I got it off craigs list. It was originally from harbor freight.

The scaffold looks like one I got at HD a couple of months ago for around 116.00 on sale. It has worked very well for us so far.
