Got us a 24" Pexto finger brake

it was posted on craigslist last night at 9:30, and we left to go get it at 6:30 this morning

it was $300, so not dirt cheap, but people want $8-900 for anything usable around here, ebay has one for $1500 buy it now, and a new one is like $5300





Bends 16ga like butter. Had to stop by work and go dumpster diving for some sheetmetal to play around with it

I'd love to have a decent brake even though I don't need one alot, they are handy to have. Cryptic, enjoy that new shop tool and keep your eys out for a 48" brake, they come up occassionally.

I'm not sure we would buy one that big.. takes up alot of space, and I can use the 10 footers we have at work if I really need to

Anyone know where to get parts for these? It's missing one of the L brackets that holds the last small finger on. I could just cut a piece of angle and drill a hole in it, but I'd like to get the proper piece if possible

I have the same brake, it's a very nice. I've used it on 12 gauge before, but for parts only a couple inches long.

Great buy and it will last forever.... I have a 4 foot Tennsmith box and pan brake and I use it along with my Pexto 3 foot shear. Great tool. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

No,you may not of "stole" it with that price but got a heck of a good deal in my book.Old sheet metal equip just dosen't show up that much...when it does,as you pointed out,its pricey.

You going to weld up a stand?If so,just dig around the web for original stand pics.Pexto had a cpl different versions....most are very easy to fabricate.

Good luck,bend up some cool drawers or sumthin and post pics.

I got this one for a few hours labor on a guy's Aircraft. Belonged to his Grandfather, and had just been sitting around for years.

They have all kinds of cool stuff out there. I'd really like to learn how to use the 6'x20' dual table cnc plasma cutter though.
