Governor spring

Hi, Guys I'm restoring/repairing a craftsman 1/2 hp motor. Found a busted
5200990 spring. I know the number is no good, any known replacement other than buying another motor

Take it to the hardware store, you might get lucky. The better way, is to measure the wire diameter with calipers, given the length and diameter, you should be able to find something at McMaster Carr.

Well I do have calipers, but I found a whole king Seeley band saw. So if I work out a deal
