Has anyone had any luck with this brand. Was looking at the x5 model but wasn't sure if these are any good. Painting the back of a house and 2 car garage. Didn't want to roll the siding, hoping spraying would be quicker.

I don't know the model number of the one we have, it's electric about a 3/4hp motor, pumps from a 5 gallon bucket. Works well even spray the elastomeric latex roof coating. You got to follow the clean up procedure, leave any thing in the system it will get stuck the next time. We have done a 100' by 50' shed moved the pump two times on each side. Sure beats dragging the buckets up on the roof and rolling it on. Been there and done that. You need a good extension cord, no junk! btw we bought it about 10 years ago.

We have a graco sprayer from home depot rated for I thing 300 gallons of paint for its duty life we are going on about 1000 gallons sprayed and still going strong. Sprays a nice even coat and with good paint it leave a nice finish. Does create a bit of over spray because it does make a nice fine mist so be careful whats down wind. Oh yeah we paint trash dumpsters with it if it wasnt obvious with my name.

Painting your house with a paint sprayer is a fantastic increase in speed.
You can lay down paint at a terrific rate. You have to get used to it or
you will get drips.

I down side is that it does not push the paint into all the blemishes
on your house the way a brush can. I combined both things. I spray
a large area then brush over it. This make sure that every spot gets
covered. You have to use a brush anyway to paint neat things like
trim that may be a different color.

A sprayer sure beats having to dip the brush in a can every few seconds.
You don't have to carry the can up and down the ladder. The

I’ve got a ProX19 cart. I love it. I painted my entire house with it last year. Like everyone said, you have to thoroughly clean it afterwards. If you spray one day, didn’t finish, and plan to spray the next you can leave the paint in the bucket and in the sprayer. I tape a plastic bag around the inlet hose and top of the can to air seal the paint.

After cleaning with water be sure to put something with a corrosion inhibitor inside like pump armor or RV antifreeze. The pump itself is replaceable when/if it wears out.

As far as painting technique, I’ve always had someone back-roll what I’m spraying with a 3/8 roller. It makes a huge difference on the finished product. Think of it like the sprayer laying the paint on the surface for the roller to smooth out.

I have the graco X5 and it has been great. You will need 2-3 5 gallon buckets and access to hot water for the cleaning process. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES THE ENTIRE TIME POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE PUMP....just take my word.

It moves a lot of paint in short order, and practice is a great idea on how to start and stop spraying, and where. Back brushing or rolling the paint after being sprayed is pretty much a must.
