I went with this one:

http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...itan+paint+sprayer&storeId=10051#.USef5Vf5T1U

Has a 2 sided tip so you can spray smaller areas or large ones. Has a power roller. Garden hose attachment for cleanup. Not a bad unit. Just be aware that you will most likely have to backroll anything you do inside, regardless of the sprayer.

Depending on the size of the rooms/carpet/etc it will probably be a lot quicker to just roll it.

Cause it looks like **** (IMO). You tend to get banding. Also the texture is much different.

Application is quicker overall but for smaller rooms I wouldn't attempt it. I did my garage with that sprayer, new drywall, including the ceiling. Saved a lot of time especially on the corners and the ceiling.

Most anything you'd be spraying inside the home will be a flat surface, as in a wall. Unless you are perfect , it's going to look like ****. Takes a lot of practice to do it, and you don't get a second chance with paint. If I'm spraying lacquer, I can wipe off my mistake with thinner and re-shoot it. You can't really do that with a bedroom wall.

Not saying it's not possible, but its taken me years to be able to do it, and I still screw it up once in a while. Lot quicker for me 95% of the time to whip out a 4" brush and 18" roller.
