Hate to inform the general public there is no strip clubs here in this county or any other county connecting to this one, in fact I don't think there is one on the east side of this state either.
Guess we are going to have to recruit some from here.
Well you are a few years to late the Wild Horse Pavilion closed and the Hathaway bar burned down 25 years ago all the semi retired ladies from the mustang ranch in Nevada worked there.

Those windows are installed just how i was proposing. Nice job. Work with what you got. I like it.
Thanks,
Pretty simple design just get something as wide as the corrugation. Working on side wing garage doors now, unique they will be too.

Guess I can hire their daughters instead then, sure the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Might be little spoiled and rotten but still an apple none the less.

Got the doorway up, I couldn’t go with just a regular square garage door nor buy one from the box stores. Was only fitting to make it fit this opening as such. Got two days of snow coming with highs in single digits, going to have to shut it down again.5522FEFF-5CDD-4113-B9B3-9DFE376B742D.jpeg

First off = THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE.
This reminds me of the quonset huts we had at MSU, finally tore down the last ones
to build the Breslin Event Center for Spartan basketball. Won't the metal conduct
cold & noise? Still looks good!

You're welcome, anytime anywhere anyplace.
No more than other steel buildings built out there. Due to the curvature when hail stones hit it, it dampens the noise along with rain. Took on 2 inch hailstones last summer and no dents, same couldn't be said for the locals where it took one of their gutters out, not knocked it down but punched a hole through it.
Plan is to section the wings off so not heat it all up, and to bury the back and side wings. Will also have cooling tubes in the back for the summer time so as the front/south wall heats up it will vent at the eve sucking air from the backside through 10" tubes that are buried in 6' of dirt extending 30' feet out for each section. Passive solar system.

Foresee a day when this forum adds a PV section for those who run their garages with a grid tie or off grid system and the systems they build into their garages along with questions on how it's done.
Just saying since I am about to put power to mine. It's a BETA version but soon as my MC4 connectors come in I am connecting my Midnite charge controller Barcelona to a 48V 1006Ah forklift battery.

Wow, just wow! Just found your build today. You and your wife's, attitude and aptitude is amazing. I look forward to your continued progress.

I was in Miles city for a week a few years back. Enjoyed it immensely, but it is spartan and lots of open territory.

As others mentioned, Thank you for your service!

Thanks and you're welcome any time, any place, anywhere.
Seems open territory here till you learn who controls what and how much is not available to the public or available to buy and if you aren't from here with a phone number from elsewhere you get special treatment that isn't good.
Being in town is like being back in the 80's which is a good thing, enjoy it while it lasts.

Hey, I live currently about a miles from where they used to be. And my friend who will be 100 on his next birthday, lived there when he got out of the service after WWII.

Correction, that's not a brick, but a "CONCRETE BLOCK".

Incredible ! And very cool ! Thanks for sharing the journey.
Thanks and you're welcome. It's the pinnacle of everything here since it was done all off grid in almost worst climate you could attempt this and miles from civilization. The road to up here is littered with those who tried and failed or still trying and haven't seen they already failed that they need to switch direction. Tried helping, but they know better.

Thanks, and yeah life happened. Everything exploded here from being retirement to being in retirement and starting a ranch and contracting business all wrapped up in one.
