What a fantastic guy and a marvellous collection. Proof that living for every day rather than waiting around to die works. I take my hat off to him.

Some younger folk (Gen Y'ers) of whom some seem to think the world owes them a living ought to take a leaf out of this guys book and just get on with it.

Thanks for posting that. Dean sounds like a very remarkable person. Especially at age 84!! Proof that doing what you like keeps you going strong.

In Pisgah, Iowa there is a Ford Garage (Johnson Ford), that is like stepping into the past.

I am sure that it no longer has a franchise, but the last time I was there, part of the roof in the service department had collapsed, but the doors was open, he had cabinet after cabinet of obsolete parts in the showroom, including Rotunda displays.

You said it. Sir Stirling Moss, probably the most famous British racing driver ever, recently fell 3 floors down a lift shaft at his home. That would have killed many people a quarter of his 80 years, he broke both ankles but is making a slow and steady recovery. Although he retired from racing in 1962 following a near-fatal accident he has never stopped working and I believe he will carry on until he is physically unable to do so.
