Wasn't really sure where to post this but thought it was pretty neat. Found it digging thru barns.

Either grandma wrote it out for him or his hand writing certainly didn't get passed down through the males in the family.

I like that very much. You don't happen to have a flat bed scanner do you?

Yeah I'll clean it up a little and scan it and see if I can get a better image. It never crossed my mind that you guys would use this info but I guess a cutting torch years ago is pretty much a cutting torch now. Not much has changed.

I hope you don't mind. I ran this through an OCR program, cleaned up the mistakes it made, formatted it a bit and now we have a nice copy to keep on hand.

Nice souvenir from your grandfather.

I wrote up something similar about 40 years ago and carried it folded in a small machinist's pocket handbook for years.

Maybe someday my kids or grandkids will find it and not just throw it away...:lol_hitti

And so, Grandpa's work lives on . . .

Askme42, Thanks for sharing. I would love to one day come across some of my own grandfather's notes. I learned a lot for him, but it only brushed the surface of what he had to share.

I like the handwritten copy. Should put it in a frame and hang in the shop/garage.

The info itself may be a little out of date. Here is a Victor acetylene cutting and welding tip chart and Hobart poster with similar info.

Thanks for posting. This is what I figured is tips had been updated some. It's nostalgic for me way more than informational.
