Hmmm could have sworn I posted this earlier today...

While I don't know the specifics, I'm pretty sure that is early 20th century, possibly earlier...

Gray Tools was founded in 1912 in Toronto (now in Brampton, ON). That looks like it may have been made not too long after (JMO).

I have two of those: an 8" and a 12".

I have a feeling they are much more recent than one might expect considering similar models have been available from other manufacturers for a hundred years or more. The first time they appear in a Gray catalogue seems to be 1963!
