Bought a box at a yard sale just cause i got a bunch of free stuff with it. It was not until i got home that i actually noticed that it was a Gray Bonney tool chest. Its a bit rough but it works excellent. How old do you think this box is? Is it worth anything? Thanks

I looked thru my 1950 Gray-Bonney catalog and it's not in there. It's of a newer design than the ones in the catalog I have.Gray and Bonney went their seperate ways in 1961 so I'd date it between 1950 and 1961,leaning toward the later end of that time frame since it's a different design all together from whats in my 1950 catalog.

It ain't worth jack squat, but I'll give you $10 plus shipping so you won't get hurt:lol_hitti

Very cool and while it really doesn't have much momentary value, the cool factor and bragging rights are pretty high.

It is a sweet vintage box. Money-wise it is probably not worth a ton, but it oozes retro coolness. You can't buy a new box that has that!

Cool old box Diesel, its an interesting one. Gray is notoriously Canadian, as are a couple of the stickers on it, but there are other badges that say Florida. Its a well travelled box if nothing else. Can I ask where you are?

I paid $35 cdn for it. Needed another small box for at home and i liked it so i bought it. It came with a 1/2 dr torque wrench,a couple of irwin vice grips,2 snap on sockets, couple antique license plates and a 43875? i think 3/8 craftsman ratchet with matching 1/2 drive ratchet. Oh and it was full of nuts and bolts and about a dozen of chinese pliers.
