Longtime frequent lurker, seldom poster, have a question.
Picked up some stuff from the classifieds, mainly for a gray canada pearhead and craftsman ratchet ( craftsman fairly uncommon up here )
Anyways, there was a ratchet which sure looks 70s - 80s Japanese, but is marked gray? Its the rubber handled one in the picture beside 2 "real" gray ratchets, and an unknown one i have that looks similar. Anyone have any ideas on how that came to be? :dunno: There was also a neat ratchet with no markings at all, ive never seen before. Im assuming 80s japanese as well. The craftsman was a 3/8 that had a flying v selector. I always wanted one

The rubber handle model was made by Wright in the U.S. I'm pretty sure. No COO on it? I have 3/4 Gray USA that are Wright.

You are right about the pear head, most likely older Japan, I have seen those marked Japan. They remind me of a knockoff of Walden.

The top ratchet with no name I would say Japan as well.

Nice lot.

I say rubber handled one is Wright for sure and other is Japan but not bad Japan makes good tools just think in ww2 all the weaponry and machines, boats, ships and planes the built and had to work on yeah they know what they're doing even cars from 70's and 80's and before they all had to have good tools and make fine tools today that are probably better than we are making to the most part. I'd rather have Japanese than China or Taiwan.

its definetly a wright. It has a very quality feel to it and I quite like it. I will be able to put it to use for sure. Thanks again!
